## Getting Started Checklist
A checklist to help me start my next project with confidence. It provides a step-by-step guide through the process of starting and completing my tasks efficiently. I just need to pick a task from my list and get started!
> [!todo]+ Just start anywhere:
> - Don't get bogged down in trying to find the perfect starting point.
> - Pick a task from your prioritized list and get started.
> - Remember that any portion or component of the GTD approach, applied, will bring at least a bit more clarity, focus, and control for you—without exception.
> - And very likely when any one thing is executed, it will create a reverberation effect and spread to other parts.
> - It’s a holistic model—i.e. any piece can be worked, and it will add to the whole gestalt.
> [!todo]+ Mis en place:
> - Make sure everything you need is in place before starting your task.
> - If you're designing a brochure, place all the necessary text and photos in InDesign before starting the layout.
> [!todo]+ Capture as you go:
> 1. Take notes on anything that crosses your mind as you work. Nothing is too big or small!
> 2. These items go directly into your inboxes.
> [!todo]+ Check Due dates:
> - Check dates on your calendar and make sure you know how close you are to the due date. If you know it's due soon, that can motivate starting
> [!todo]+ Just do the next action:
> - Focus on completing one task at a time before moving on to the next task.
> [!todo]+Use action-oriented language:
> - When next actions, use language that clearly describes what needs to be done next.
> - For example, instead of "work on brochure," use "design front cover of brochure."
> [!todo]+ Give yourself a smaller time goal
> - You can use a podcast or youtube video length, lunch, or meetings to help block out time
> - Set a designated amount of time to work on the task without distractions.
> [!todo]+ Review completed tasks at the end of the day to ensure that everything is on track
